How Ways to Win Systems Count Wins

Ways to Win replaces fixed lines with a simpler rule: matching symbols pay when they appear on adjacent reels, usually starting from the left, regardless of which row they land in. The number of ways is the product of symbol positions per reel: a 5×3 grid gives 243 ways, a 5×4 grid gives 1,024, and taller layouts push the count higher.

Only one win per symbol type is paid per spin, but multiple symbols of the same kind on one reel multiply the win rather than adding separate lines. This makes stacked symbols particularly relevant in ways games, since a full reel of one symbol multiplies every combination passing through it.
