Fawkes

Fawkes is a Wicked Games slot released on November 5, 2025. The studio’s page lists a 6-reel, 4-row grid with 4,096 ways at the start, an RTP of 96.23%, a 20,000x max win and bets from 0.20 to 400. The splash screen puts the volatility at about three and a half of five icons, which matches the 3.5/5 figure on the page. The theme is the Gunpowder Plot played out by wooden puppets in a toy theatre, with Fawkes himself as the Wild.

The Gunpowder Cache

Under the main grid sits a row of six carts, one per reel. They hold the second layer of the game: barrels or blanks. When Fawkes lands and one to three barrels land beneath the wilds, an execution modifier fires. The studio describes three:

• Hanged: any partial Wild nudges until it covers the whole reel.
• Drawn: Wild positions split in two, which doubles their reach.
• Quartered: Wilds are copied onto adjacent reels.

The way count moves with the Wilds. The base screen reads 4096 ways, and in a free spin with two reels full of Wild hats the counter showed 16384. The studio says the count can reach 5,159,700.

Free spins by barrel count

Barrels in the cache decide the bonus. Four barrels give 11 free spins and a choice between Hanged and Drawn, five give 8 spins with Quartered, and six give 5 spins with all three modifiers running together, called High Treason. The intro screen for that last version adds that barrels can reveal a Wild or an extra 1 to 5 spins. More spins for fewer barrels is the trade-off: the six-barrel version has the fewest spins but the strongest modifiers.

Bets and buys

Two boosters raise the stake. According to the studio the Ante Bet costs 2x the bet and triples the chance of the free spins, and the Execution Bet costs 10x and guarantees an execution modifier on every spin. The demo’s buy menu lists the same 2x and 10x boosters, and five bonus buys:

• 75x for the four-barrel bonus
• 150x for the five-barrel bonus
• 600x for the six-barrel High Treason bonus
• 165x and 240x for two further bonuses whose names are too small to read on the screenshot

At a 0.20 bet the High Treason confirmation read 120.00, which is 600x, and its text says it guarantees a trigger spin with six barrels.

One demo round

The bought High Treason round showed a Mega Win banner of 8.60 and a win of 3.00 earlier in the spins, with the counter at 16384 ways. It ended at 22.64 against the 120.00 cost, so it returned about 19% of the buy. That is a single example and says little on its own, but the 600x price is high, and a round that pays well below it is a normal outcome in a game with a 20,000x ceiling.

Paytable

The low pays are small. The demo paytable lists the king and the helmeted guard at 0.50 for six of a kind, 0.25 for five, 0.15 for four and 0.08 for three, at a 0.20 bet, so 2.5x at the top. The page does not list a hit rate that the demo screens repeat, so none is quoted. Check the RTP version at your casino, as only the 96.23% default is confirmed.
