Reactoonz 2 is a Play’n GO slot released on October 1, 2020, keeping the original Reactoonz‘s 7×7 Cluster Pays grid, where 5 or more connected symbols form a win and cascade away, while replacing its single Quantum Leap meter with two interlocking systems. The stated theoretical RTP is 96.20%, volatility is high, and the win cap rises to 5,083x the bet.

As before there is no conventional free spins round; every escalation happens through meters that build during ordinary spins. Wins pay from a full-board evaluation rather than fixed lines, and the alien cast returns largely unchanged in appearance, if not in what it can trigger.

The Fluctometer and Quantumeter

Each round, one random one-eyed alien symbol is marked as fluctuating; winning with it charges the Fluctometer, and a full meter releases 1 to 3 Electric Wilds onto the grid. Those wilds, and any other wins, feed a second, larger Quantumeter with four levels. The first two levels release Energoon Wilds carrying a 2x multiplier, appearing either as four separate 1×1 wilds or one 2×2 block. The third level summons a Gargantoon Wild, a 3×3 block worth 3x that breaks down into smaller 2×2 and then 1×1 pieces across later cascades. The fourth and final level applies a 2x multiplier to every win on the grid.

Wild Pair Explosion

After a spin’s cascades and features have all resolved, if 2 or more wilds happen to sit adjacent to each other on the board, they detonate in a Wild Pair Explosion, clearing a block of surrounding symbols and opening one more cascade rather than letting the wilds sit unused until the next spin. It functions as a small insurance policy against dead wilds, since a game with this many wild-producing systems would otherwise waste a lot of grid space on symbols that cannot connect into anything.

Reactoonz 2 Review

Reactoonz 2 answers the obvious question a sequel to a meter-driven game has to answer: how do you add depth without simply raising the numbers? Splitting one meter into two, a fast, narrow Fluctometer and a slow, four-stage Quantumeter, gives the game two different rhythms running at once, and the Wild Pair Explosion means a spin’s ending state can still trigger one more cascade instead of going to waste.

Against the original’s single meter and five Quantum Features, this is a more layered system that rewards tracking two counters simultaneously rather than one, and it remains the more mechanically ambitious of the two mainline games even five years on. The tradeoff is legibility: a new player has noticeably more to learn here than in the 2017 original before every visual cue on screen makes sense, which is part of why Play’n GO kept releasing simpler spin-offs alongside it rather than making this the new baseline for the whole family. Returning players tend to notice the difference within their first few sessions, since tracking two meters at once changes how a round is read even when the underlying cluster math stays familiar.
