Money Train 4 is a Relax Gaming slot released on September 20, 2023, and the first entry to rebuild the machine underneath the Money Cart. The 40 paylines of the first three games are gone: this is a 6×6 grid where wins pay by scatter count, with 8 or more of either of the two premium symbols, or 10 or more of anything else, paying anywhere on the reels. The stated theoretical RTP is 96.10%, the win cap rises to 150,000x, and third-party databases rate volatility as very high.

The base game respin returns in a new form: at the end of a spin, the most numerous symbol can lock in place while the rest respin, with non-sticking multiplier symbols extending the chase and multiplying the final win. It suits the bigger grid, where 36 positions make the “most present symbol” genuinely variable from spin to spin.

A Money Cart with Geography

The bonus starts as 6×4 and grows downward: filling a row, or landing the new Unlocker special, opens one of four locked rows, and any symbols waiting in a newly opened row immediately act. Because the grid has real shape now, position matters, and the roster grows accordingly: Adjacent Collectors and Adjacent Payers work only on their eight neighbors, the Arms Dealer converts plain value symbols into random specials, and the Upgrader promotes up to three specials into their persistent versions. The Necromancer, Sniper, Collector-Payer, Shapeshifter, and Reset Plus all return, most with persistent variants, making this the largest special-symbol roster in the series.

Order of Operations

With this many actors, sequencing becomes part of the rules text: specials act from the top row down and left to right within each row, and only interact with positions inside the active area. That makes the locked rows strategically loaded, since a Payer sitting in a row that opens mid-round fires immediately on arrival, and an Unlocker landing early can effectively double the board a Persistent Collector gets to sweep. The Necromancer’s revival list is likewise gated by context: it can only revive an Unlocker while locked rows remain, and an Upgrader only while upgradable specials exist.

Buy Options

Two buys are offered: 100x the bet for the standard trigger and 500x for a guaranteed persistent-special start, both at a stated 96.50% theoretical RTP. There is no cheap short-spin tier this time; Money Train 3 keeps that particular experiment to itself.

Money Train 4 Review

Money Train 4 answers the hardest question a franchise faces: what to do after maximalism. Instead of another symbol dump, it changed the board, and the change earns its keep. Row unlocking gives rounds a sense of progress the flat grids never had, adjacency turns symbol placement into drama, and the Arms Dealer and Upgrader create escalation paths that do not depend on landing gold from the start. The cost is readability: with 36 positions and a dozen special types, rounds can become hard to follow in real time. It is the series’ most mechanically interesting entry, and the 150,000x cap makes it the most theoretically explosive of the numbered games.
