What Makes a Multiplier Persistent

A persistent multiplier holds its value once gained: it does not reset between spins, between cascade sequences, or in the strongest designs at any point during the bonus. Whatever grows it, the accumulated value keeps applying to subsequent wins for as long as the persistence scope lasts.

Scope is the defining parameter. Some games persist the multiplier across a respin sequence, others across an entire Free Spins round including retriggers, and a few tie persistent state to a bet level in the base game. The rules always name the point at which the value finally clears.

Persistence transforms otherwise ordinary mechanics: a modest per-cascade step becomes powerful when it never resets, which is why the feature usually appears in combination with Increasing Multipliers and Tumble & Cascading Reels. Sticky multiplier symbols merge the idea with Sticky Wilds.

The contrast case is the sequence-bound climber that zeroes on a losing drop; that behaviour belongs under Increasing Multipliers. General multiplier mechanics, including fixed values, are covered at Multipliers.
