Connected Reels Slots
How Connected Reels Share State
Connected Reels covers mechanics where parts of the grid are tied together so that what happens in one area carries into another. Typical forms: a special symbol landing on a connected reel copies itself to its partner, a wild spreads across the connection, or a bonus state established on one reel propagates to the linked ones.
The connection can be permanent by design, drawn randomly per spin, or built during play by landing connector symbols. Unlike full mirroring, only defined content transfers, so the connected reels still spin independently otherwise.
The mechanic is a natural carrier for Wild Symbols duplication, Sticky Wilds that persist across connected positions, and Free Spins rounds where the network of connections grows. Base evaluation is unaffected and follows the game’s line or ways rules.
The difference from Synced Reels is scope: synced reels land fully identical strips, while connected reels transfer specific symbols or states. Multi-Grid games use similar connections at the level of whole boards.
