How Synced Reels Link the Grid

Synced Reels is a randomly triggered modifier that links two or more reels for a spin: the linked reels spin together and land identical symbol strips. When adjacent reels sync, the middle of the grid effectively becomes one mirrored block, which strongly favours long matching chains.

Implementations differ in how many reels can link and whether the link can grow: some games allow the synced set to expand to neighbouring reels on consecutive spins or within a bonus. The link itself is visual and structural; win evaluation continues under the game’s normal rules.

The modifier pairs naturally with Ways to Win evaluation, with Stacked Wilds that can occupy an entire synced block, and with Free Spins where syncing is more frequent or persistent. In Multi-Grid games, syncing can bridge separate boards.

Distinguish it from Connected Reels, where the connection typically transfers specific symbols rather than mirroring whole strips, and from Reel Switching, which swaps reel sets instead of linking them.
