Play Demo
Bjorn is a Thunderkick cluster slot on an 8×8 grid, dated October 9, 2026 in the studio’s launch announcement. Thunderkick’s game page lists the RTP at 94.22%, volatility as Very High and the max win as 5000x the bet. That RTP sits below the 96% that most new releases quote, so it is worth knowing before picking a casino. The setting is Norse: a warrior chosen by the gods guards an ancient power against Draugr (the undead) and Trolls.
Grid and base game
Wins come from clusters of 5 or more matching symbols touching each other, and winning symbols are replaced by avalanches. The low symbols in the demo are trees, stumps and stones, with orange and green runes above them. The middle of the board is a platform where the hero stands. In the demo the 2×2 centre holds no symbols, which a third-party review also reports, so the playable area is 60 cells and not 64.
Below the grid sits a meter that reads 0 / 20 with three icons: a red sword, a purple Draugr and a hooded figure. Thunderkick’s text says Loot, Abilities and a Global Multiplier build the hero’s strength. The demo screens at a 1.00 bet never moved the meter, so how it fills is not confirmed here.
Hero Hunt
The rules screen describes the central mechanic. Hero Hunt starts when no winning clusters remain. The hero then hunts every Draugr on the board and destroys the symbols along his path. He stays where he stopped until the next hunt or the end of the round. Defeated Draugr may drop Loot and award multipliers.
Three demo screens show it:
- A hunt that cleared most of the board and left a 2.10 win on a 1.00 bet.
- A cascade with an x4 multiplier badge, where individual Loot pops of 0.40 appeared.
- A cluster of green runes paying 1.80 under an x3 multiplier.
One more spin showed a large troll-like enemy falling with an x10 multiplier and a payout of 4.50. These are single spins in free play, so they say nothing about frequency.
Bonus and Bet+
Thunderkick’s page lists a Bonus Game that triggers free spins and can retrigger. The detail comes from reviews and not from the official page: BigWinBoard puts the bonus at 5 spins plus random ability upgrades, with 2 extra spins for every 20 enemies defeated, and describes six upgradeable abilities, among them Thor’s Strength, Call of Hel and Odin’s Insight. The same review says a Troll destroys a 3×3 area and counts as nine defeated enemies. The demo screens do not show any of this, so treat it as secondhand.
The screen has a Bet+ switch, which the official page calls an Ante Bet. Reviews describe four levels from 1.5x to 12x stake with a guaranteed-bonus purchase at 150x, and quote slightly lower RTPs for those modes (94.10% to 94.21%). None of this was open in the demo, so check the prices and RTP on the casino’s own info screen.
What to check
Volatility is the one figure sources disagree on. Thunderkick says Very High, while the two reviews found say High. The tag here follows the studio. A 5000x cap on an 8×8 grid with an RTP of 94.22% means short sessions can swing hard, and a long one is expected to return less than a typical 96% slot would.
The bet range of 0.10 to 100 appears in two reviews but not on the official page, so it is not entered in the data above. Hit rate is not published. The demo runs from the game launcher in demo mode with a 5000.00 starting balance, and the build number on screen is 1.1.14.
