How the Megaclusters Mechanic Works
Megaclusters is Big Time Gaming’s cluster-based counterpart to Megaways. The game starts on a coarse grid, commonly 4×4, where each position holds a large symbol. When a cluster wins, the symbols involved split into four smaller symbols each, so the effective grid grows to 8×8 or beyond within the same spin.
Wins follow cluster logic: matching symbols must touch horizontally or vertically, and the cluster size determines the payout. After a win the split happens first, then new symbols fill the gaps, so one spin can escalate through several stages of progressively finer grids.
The splitting loop naturally combines with Increasing Multipliers that grow with consecutive reactions, and with Free Spins where the accumulated state carries over between spins. The reaction chain itself behaves like a cluster version of Tumble & Cascading Reels.
The distinction from plain Cluster Pays is the dynamic grid: standard cluster games keep a fixed resolution, while Megaclusters changes symbol size mid-spin. It also differs from Split Symbols, where splitting increases the symbol count for line or ways evaluation rather than refining a cluster grid.
